Homeschool Skate Days at Sparkles of Kennesaw

On Thursday, Sept. 19th and the 1st Friday of each month thereafter, from 12:30 to 3:00, Sparkles of Kennesaw (1000 McCollum Pkwy) will offer the following prices to homeschoolers:

$3.50 Admission
$1.50 Regular Skates
$3.00 Speed Skates
$4.00 Roller Blades

Snack Bar Specials :

Christopher Columbus, "Admiral Christbearer", presented by William A. Roy, Jr., Christian Historian.

-Adult level seminar which includes large screen slides of maps, charts and quotations from original source documents.

-Costume reenactment for children in the audience.

LaGrange College Homeschool Visitation Day

Andy Geeter, Director of Admission at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia, makes the following announcement:

In an effort to assist homeschooled students in learning more about LaGrange College and the college admission and selection process in general, we will be hosting a special on-campus event for homeschool students and parents on Wednesday, October 30. During this event, students will have the opportunity to attend several classes to help them get a feel for the college experience. In addition, we will have sessions on college admission for homeschooled students and financial aid opportunities.

Because of limited classroom space, we are requesting that students attending classes be in their junior or senior years. Parents and other children are welcome to attend the information sessions. We can accept up to 25 students for this event. However, if there is sufficient demand we will hold an additional day later in the semester.

The event is tentatively scheduled to run from approximately 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Students are also invited to schedule individual appointments Monday-Friday at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm. We will also have two general Visitation Days this fall: Saturday, October 26 and Saturday, November 9. Please contact our office to schedule an appointment or make a reservation for one of the Fall Visitation Days.
